  • Pam Sosa

    Instructor

Pam first began taking Pilates when she was a teenager studying ballet. Pilates is often recommended for dancers because it shares the same goals with increasing core strength while developing elongated muscles. She found that Pilates made her feel more balanced and stronger than she had ever felt before. She continued to study Pilates for many years. As she moved on from dancing to teaching ballet, she wanted to share the knowledge and benefits that she had received from Pilates with her students. In 2009, she received her International Pilates Certification. In addition to training her ballet students at Santa Clarita Ballet Academy, she also taught for a local studio, The Pilates Pro. She recently moved back to Bakersfield and is looking forward to teaching for Club Pilates!

  • Samantha Palmer-Fell

    Instructor

Samantha's passion for movement with strength and awareness began at an early age with dance. She attributes her ability to continue to dance and perform classical ballet to her Pilates practice. She was introduced to Pilates at the University of California-Irvine while majoring in dance, and immediately noticed a huge improvement in her strength and technique as a result of the Pilates exercises. After graduating UCI, she was invited to learn and become a Pilates instructor at the studio the Studio Du Corps in Costa Mesa. She later returned to Bakersfield to recuperate from illness and realized how much her community would benefit from such a phenomenon and was certified through Balanced Body University. She is passionate about sharing her love for Pilates and believes every person at any age, can enjoy the ease of movement and strength it has to offer and notice a difference in their lives if they begin a regular practice.

  • Kathy Haddock

    Instructor

Kathy learned the value of body function and movement from a very young age. Her Father had MS and she came to realize that integrated motion equaled life-or-death for him. If he wasn't physically active it became virtually impossible for him to regain movement without assistance from another person. She saw firsthand that proper mobility, spinal alignment, and breathing were everything for a vital life. For the past decade she has been a personal trainer, water aerobics instructor, Gravity Pilates/Group trainer, HiiT coach, and spin instructor. Now she gets to let her heart and soul fly at Club Pilates here in Bakersfield by teaching and using Joseph Pilates method, incorporating techniques from sports as diverse as boxing, diving, dance, and yoga. Do Pilates. Do Life.

  • Katherine Larrea

    Instructor

Katherine has a B.A. in Business Global Leadership from Arizona State University. She is a Club Pilates Certified Instructor and has additional certifications in Barre Above and TRX. After years of competitive swimming and collegiate water polo, Katherine found a passion for Pilates when a physician recommended Pilates as a rehab for numerous sports injuries. She loves how Pilates gives her the ability to develop strength while keeping a more feminine figure. Katherine is driven to creating fun and challenging workouts for clients of all fitness levels. When Katherine is not teaching Pilates, she enjoys traveling, playing with her Husky, and camping!

  • Linda Cole

    Instructor

Linda was born and raised in Bakersfield. Attending Bakersfield schools she achieved her B.A. in Social Science and a Life Teaching Credential from the State of California. Always physically active she participated in synchronized swimming as a young woman. She married and together with her husband Rick raised two boys and a girl. She taught first grade for twenty-eight years but she always made time for exercising, doing a variety of different programs from Tae-Bo to gymnastics and even Pilates tapes. When a health opportunity presented itself Linda was introduced to yoga and she began a 200 hour certification through Yoga Fit. She is a nationally certified Yoga Instructor (RYT) through Yoga Alliance and teaches classes at a local gym and through her church. She also has taught yoga to high school teachers after school in a program called ""Empower" When Club Pilates opened in Bakersfield she was approached about becoming a certified Pilates Instructor. It didn’t take long for her to decide to pursue this goal. Her love of Pilates and the desire to help others not only achieve their fitness goals but share the challenges that new forms of exercise bring brought her to the trainings. She is now a certified Club Pilates Instructor and teaches classes at the Bakersfield studio. She divides her time in retirement between spending time with her ten grandchildren, travelling with Rick, volunteering as an Ombudsman and serving as a Bible study leader at her church.

  • Jessica Williams

When Jessica was a teen, she suffered a severe knee injury that lead to many surgeries throughout her adult life. The injury, coupled with weight struggles, led to further damage. When several health issues began to plague her, she decided to make some serious changes. It caused her to search out a challenging yet low impact exercise regimen. She recalled trying mat Pilates a couple of times; it was challenging and fun. Pilates provided the avenue she needed to become more active, lose weight, and strengthen the body that had been so neglected. She knew quickly that she wanted to become an instructor but was intimidated by her past - she didn’t look like a fitness instructor. Pilates is her passion; she tells every one of the benefits and the many benefits are seen in her physically every day! Jessica strives to provide classes that challenge each clients’ body and inspire them to better overall health!
